HCL has introduced a new Android tablet in the Indian market. The renowned brand with its recent offering HCL Me X1 brings another good edition to the budget tablet market and the fourth one in its Me Series collection. Priced at Rs 10,490, the Android Gingerbread tablet is powered by a 1ghz processor. The tablet sports a 7" display and 800 x480 resolution.

It is equipped with a 512 MB RAM  and  4GB ROM in addition to the MIcro SD support upto 32 GB. The device supports 3G via USB, Wi-Fi. HCL ME X1 comes with a 2-mega pixel front camera, and a Full HD 1080p playback capabilities. The devices comes with a battery support of 3500 mAH battery and adobe Flash, Think Free office, ME app store among others.

HCL had earlier launched three ME series Android tablets in India.

HCL ME AE7-A1: Priced at Rs 10,990, the device is powered by Android 2.2 and 800 MHz processor, the ME AE7-A1 tablet sports a 7 inch resistive display. This attractive tablet is also comprised of 256MB RAM, 2GB storage and a front facing efficient camera. The device allows you to access internet on it via WiFi or through connecting a USB EVDO dongle/data card.

HCL ME AM7-A1: This is a 3G ready tablet device. It features Android 2.2, a 7 inch capacitive display and also a powerful 800 MHz processor. At Rs 20,990 the ME AM7-A1 packs in  512 RAM, 8 GB Internal storage, and a 1.3 megapixel front facing camera.

HCL ME AP10-A1: Carrying a price tag of Rs. 32,990, the AP10-A1 model comes HD ready and sports an attractive 10 inch capacitive display for a clear view,1 GHz dual core processor, 1 GB RAM, 16 GB internal storage and Android 2.2 OS.

HCL ME X1 has tough competition from other budget Android tablets like Beetel Magiq, Reliance 3G Tab, Fuje Pad Gen 4 and LACS A 4-inch Tab that pack in similar specs and price point.
