When a reporter referred to the 2002 riots in Gujarat when Modi was in power, Hazare said he was only talking about the work of a chief minister and does not want to get into politics.
Congress leader Rashid Alvi sharply reacted to Hazare's comments saying "no secular person in the country can support Modi".
"If you support Modi, you are supporting the massacre of 2002," he said.
Bharatiya Janata Party's Shahnawaz Hussain praised Hazare for appreciating development works in the BJP-ruled states.
"These are NDA-ruled states. Concrete steps are being taken there against corruption. This is good that he cited both the states as examples," Hussain said.

There were many riots in our country, but no govt. could manage the harmony as Mr. Modi managed since then with appriciable progress of the state.
We need leaders like Modi who could control bads and proceed with goods.
Please try to support right people.
Some still just want to "DIVIDE and RULE" (like britishers).
We, as responsible Indian Citizens, know with whom we should proceed.
Anna Hazare who is leading a crusade against corruption and for which all sections of people gave tremenderous support should never indulge in praising or condemning personalities, particularly of politicians- which means taking sides. He should concentrate on eradication of corruption and not indulge in unnecessary statements. He must remain apolitical, neutral and non communal. Any straying away from this framework only create doubts ****ut his motives. The people who supported him so whole heartedly may gradually retract from their commitment.
In the ocean of politicians and sea of ministers, ONLY MODI AND NITISH are courageous politicians to support Mr.Anne Hazarre.
Our honest PM says that he doesn't have time to see ANTI-CORRUPTION BILL.
Other politicians and bureaucrats have not opened their mouth.
All VAOs, EOs of town panchayats, tehsildars, Revenue Inspectors collect bribes lakhs of rupees every day. A poor student has to give half of his scholarship to the heartless revenue department.

It is appropriate for Anna to have praised work by Nitish Kumar.
Nitish's work was extremely difficult. Decades of looting and terrorising the common man by Laloo, Rabri and their Clan has devastated Bihar and brought Misery to its people. Democracy had lost every meaning when Laloo transfered CM's position to his wife Rabri. We all know what happened thereafter. Laloo was inducted into Central Ministry. Cong always wanted such people.

I have been travelling to Gujarat for ****ut 20 years now.
I believe, success of Narendra Modi to a great extent can be attributed to his handling the `Corrupt Politicians, Bureaucrats and Govt Machinery' by Iron Hand. Hats Off to Him.
Obviously, Corrupts will try all their bests to tarnish his image to divide the civil society and rule them.
The civil society is no-fool. He deserves to be a soldier for `Anna Hazare'.
