Severe cold wave continues to grip north India; death toll reaches 107 in UP
Officials said four people died in Muzaffarnagar, three in Mathura, two each in Agra, Bulandshahr, Etah and one each in Barabanki and Mirzapur.

New Delhi/Lucknow: People across India face the wrath of dipping mercury, as the cold wave further intensified in several parts of the country.
Delhi yesterday witnessed its coldest day of January in the past 44 years, with the maximum temperature dipping to 9.8 degrees Celsius.
The minimum temperature was not too far behind at 4.8 degrees Celsius, which is two degrees below normal.
Meteorologist M. Duraiswamy said that January 2 has been reported as the coldest day in the last 44 years.
