Noida authority nod to Botanical Garden-Kalindi Kunj link
"We have sent these proposals to the state government for approval. The sanction on Botanical Garden-Kalindi Kunj line is expected to come early and we would start the work soon," said Noida Authority CEO, Sanjiv Saran.
Once it is okayed by the government, the authority would sign a MoU with the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) and the work would start within 23 months. Out of Rs. 845 crore that the project would cost, Rs. 500 crore would be borne by the Noida Authority.
The NOIDA authority also plans to connect Noida Extension with the existing Dwarka line in New Delhi.
The City Centre Metro Station, which is proposed to be linked to Sector62, would be branched at Sector 71 to take the line till Noida Extension.
This is expected to benefit people that would start living in about 1.5 lakh flats in Noida Extension in next 23 years. The project would provide a seamless travel from Delhi to Noida Extension. The nearly 7 km line is expected to cost around Rs.1,400 crore of which Rs.1,100 would be shared mutually by Noida and Greater Noida depending on the territory falling in their jurisdiction. At least two stations are proposed to be built in this 7 km line.
