Hundreds of homosexuals, transgender and gay rights activists took part in a colourful 'Pride Parade' in Mumbai to celebrate their sexuality

Mumbai: Seeking an equal status in the society, hundreds of homosexuals, transgender and gay rights activists took part in a colourful 'Pride Parade' in Mumbai.
The parade saw an overwhelming response as scores of family members of gays and bisexuals joined the parade to celebrate their sexuality here on Saturday. Dressed in vibrant attires and colourful wigs homosexuals, transgender and gay rights activists were seen shouting slogans and dancing to drum tunes.
"We want the society to end discriminating. We are equally normal and abnormal like others. We are not seeking any special preference; all we seek is to live in harmony and unity," said Harish Iyer, a gay rights activist.
