Don't politicise stampede: Akhilesh
Allahabad: Terming the stampede at the Allahabad railway station to be extremely unfortunate, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav on Tuesday said that there should be no politics on the tragedy. "All answers will be revealed in the probe. It will not be right to blame anyone without investigation, please wait for the report to come out," he said.
Yadav said the senior officials and the ministers reached the spot at earliest. "There was no delay in providing assistance to the victims," he added.
Yadav, who visited the Swaroop Rani Hospital here today to meet those injured in the stampede, said the state government is extending all support to the victims. "I met those injured in the stampede at the Allahabad railway station at the Swaroop Rani Hospital here on Tuesday. There are many people from Maharashtra, Bihar and Jharkhand. I talked to them and all of them seemed satisfied with the treatment being provided to them," said Yadav.
"I also thank the team of medical college and doctors (for their kind support)," he added. The chief minister also assured that action will be taken against those found guilty of negligence.
After BJP swept the Rajasthan Assembly polls, BJP�s State CM candidate Vasundhara Raje said that the party will work for the development of the State unlike Congress who had deteriorated the State with its bad governance and corruption.
