BJP demands fair probe into Vadra charges

Hitting out at the ruling party for "shying away" from a probe, BJP spokesperson Nirmal Sitharaman said an honest probe cannot be expected from the United Progressive Alliance (UPA) government, which is "neck deep" in corruption in 2G spectrum allocation, Commonwealth Games and coal mine allotments.
Noting that the CBI was to probe the allegations, she said but the agency was under a prime minister who does not want to act against corruption in his government.
Sitharaman also attacked Finance Minister P. Chidambaram for batting for Vadra, noting that if Sonia's son-in-law was just an individual, then why are Congress spokespersons and ministers falling over their heels to come to his defence.
