Delhi Police Quarter Allotment Cell gets ISO certification
New Delhi, Apr 23 (PTI) The Quarter Allotment Cell of the Delhi Police which deals with its personnel''s family accommodation requirements has been awarded ISO 9001:2008 certification.
The certificate has been granted following the streamlined and transparent procedure being adopted by Delhi Police in respect of quarter allotment.
ISO 9001:2008 certification aims at providing a global standard that spells out quality and trust. It is an internationally recognised standard for Quality Management Systems and specifies certain requirements to be followed by an organisation.
An independent website -- www.delhipoliceqac.in -- has been introduced for hassle-free consideration of applications on first-come, first-served and seniority basis.
A committee under chairmanship of Special Commissioner (Administration) considers and examines the request of applicants for allotment of quarters.
The staff deployed at the cell has been imparted training on the ISO Standard and related quality topics and the guidelines given by the authority from time to time are strictly followed, a release said.
Earlier, the Provision and Logistic unit, Recruitment Cell and Licensing Branch of Delhi Police have been awarded the ISO certification.
