Govt contemplates wayside facilities on highway
Akhnoor (Jammu), Mar 25 (PTI) With over one crore pilgrims visiting Mata Vaishno Devi and Amarnath caves, Jammu and Kashmir government is mulling creation of wayside facilities for them from Lakhanpur to Katra-Srinagar-Leh.
"Over one crore pilgrims and other tourists come for Mata Vaishno Devi and Amarnath yatra from different parts of the world and government has been contemplating to create wayside facilities right from Lakhanpur to Jammu and then from Jammu to Katra-Srinagar-Leh for the facilities of these tourists," Minister for Health, Horticulture and Floriculture Sham Lal Sharma said today.
These wayside facilities will comprise parks, public utility places and eateries on the National Highway, he said.
