NMC asks CM to release pending instalment of 7 per cent DA
Jammu, Mar 25 (PTI) National Mazdoor Conference today welcomed Union Cabinet''s decision to clear 7 per cent DA for central government employees and pensioners and asked Chief Minister Omar Abdullah to release the pending amount in favour of the beneficiaries in view of sharp increase in prices of essential commodities.
"We Welcome the decision of the Union Cabinet for releasing the pending instalment of 7 per cent DA due from January last for the employees and pensioners of the central government. It is an employees-friendly decision", President of the National Mazdoor Conference (MNC) Subash Shastri told reporters here.
We urge the Chief Minister to release the same instalment of DA in favour of its employees and pensioners in view of sharp increase in the prices of essential commodities and inflation," he said.
The Delhi Police is likely to conduct more raids in connection with the IPL spot-fixing scandal. Teams of the Delhi Police's special cell have been sent to Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Hyderabad, and Kolkata to conduct searches and track the money trail in the IPL spot-fixing case.
