Bangalore, Jan 21 (PTI) The Women''s Wing of Karnataka Ambedkar Kranti Sene today staged a protest in front of Karnataka Film Chambers of Commerce against actress Pooja Gandhi''s bare-back scene in an upcoming Kannada film ''Dandupalya.''
Sene President Kranti Raju told PTI that he has submitted a memorandum to KFCC officials demanding deletion of the controversial scene.
Pooja Gandhi had reportedly defended the scene, saying she had worn a sari and was trying to cover her body, except for the back.
Raju also demanded that KFCC stop the release of ''Dandupalya'', a film which revolves around real-life characters of the Dandupalya gang, which were involved in rape, theft, dacoity and murder cases.
He warned that hoardings and posters of the film would be burnt, if the film was released.
The film is directed by Srinivas Raju.
Following his arrest, self-styled godman Asaram Bapu's absconding son Narayan Sai will be produced before a court in Rohini. Sai was taken to Ambedkar hospital for medical tests where he claimed he was being framed with allegations of sexual misconduct/rape.
