Assam Rifles jawan killed
Tinsukia (Assam), Sep 2 (PTI) A jawan of Assam Rifles was killed and another critically injured when unidentified persons attacked them here, official sources said today.
The two jawans of 45 Assam Rifles were attacked with sharp weapons last night, which left one of them on the spot, they said.
The injured was admitted to the Assam Medical College Hospital at Dibrugarh in a critical condition, the sources said.
The slain jawan was identified as Abhiman Toppo and the injured as I Wangthiang, they said.
A search operation has been launched to arrest the attackers, the sources added.
