Corruption quotient: Does it start with political bosses?

The answer to this question can be nothing other than an emphatic "YES". Congress supplanted itself in 1947, preserved the laws of the colonial masters. The stick in the hands of the policeman remained the potent weapon for beating the curious Indian into submission. The "Baksheesh" was legitimised and promoted to become the exclusive domain of the bureaucracy in India. 

Corruption in India percolates and does not seep. Since the Politicians are placed higher than the rest in this country, hence it is safe to conclude corruption does start with the Politicians in India. 

Initial 44 years the numerous Congress governments did not provide governance in India. Education, Health, Housing, Water, Electricity, Roads and waterways. Congress in those years was busy establishing companies and managing those(PSU) at huge financial costs, these white elephants bled India to Bankruptcy by the year 1991. 

Illiteracy of the masses was deliberately maintained, which in turn ensured repeated victories in the elections held, the democracy in India progressively became dysfunctional, it became a tool for the promotion of the Party and its First family. In the name of Education quotas were mooted and implemented. Instead of poverty alleviation Slogan of "Garibi Hatao" was invented. Profit became a profanity a four letter word despite comprising of 6 alphabets. Mrs. Indira Gandhi justified corruption in India on the premise that it was an international phenomenon and not unique to India. 

More Indians were added to the poverty scale, fortunes multiplied exponentially for the politicians and the bureaucrats.  

Empty stomach where fed with equally empty slogans. All that ailed the country was ascribed to the invisible foreign hand.

We have traversed another 18years since 1991. The corruption is just as prevalent, Bofors scam, Fodder scam, Taj Corridor, Telecom Spectrum, Statue construction, Illegal mining, Sub standard Wheat import, Raw Sugar and  of course Madhu Koda. Scratch the surface of any scam the first finger print lifted matches that of a politician. It is telling commentary that in the last 62 years of Independent India not a single politician has been convicted in any corruption case. Speaks volume of their ability to loot and get away from the long arms of the law.

 

WHEN ONE THIRD OF THE MEMBERS OF PARLIAMENT ARE FACING CRIMINAL CHARGES IN VARIOUS COURTS IN THE COUNTRY, NO FURTHER PROOF IS REQUIRED THAT POLITICIANS ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE SITUATION WE ARE IN.  WE, AS VOTERS, ARE EQUALLY TO BE BLAMED FOR CORRUPTION CHAOS.

Indian railway reservation system is an example of curruption, now a days all the time you will see the advance booking in WL only, agents are doing the advance bookings and selling those tickets on high rates, today only i wanted to book Tatkal reservation online, i tried to login the website it was not working till 8.30, after 8.30 when i logged into site i see there is no tatkal booking available, intentionally IRCTC are blocking the website for Tatkal booking between 8AM to 8:30AM.

Madan4200, Your analysis showing the heights of corruption in govt schemes is good. But the final twist linking it to specific parties is incorrect. Corruption exists even outside political parties. Bureaucrats don't need politicians' help.
I differ with your conclusion that govt during BJP rule was clean. No doubt Vajpayee is individually honest and principled and did not engage himself in corrupt acts. That is all. Letting off mafia don Chota Rajan, Tehelka scandal, corruption in railway projects etc happened in BJP rule. Is Delhi Administration significantly different under ML Khurana and Sheila Dixit? Look at what is happening in Karnataka.

Corruption in India is a gift of the congress and it even survive today in corruption. Sonia and Rahul preside over a corrupt party just like the old lady Indira Gandhi. The licence perimit Raj, socialism and hunger for power by the congress created corruption in India. Look at congress leaders and how they have become rich and super rich over the years. Look at Sonia, Rahul, Quattrochi, Sharad Pawar, Sachin Pilot (whose father came to AICC office in old scooter in 1980), Sukhram, A R Antulay, their allies Laloo, Mulayam, Karunanidhi, A Rajaas, Madhu Koda's etc. all are promoted and aligned with the congress one way or the other just through corruption. Loot the money meant for the poor people (animal fodder too), pretend as saviors', enjoy that loot, fight cases using interest of the loot and fight the election using the dividends generated by the loot.

 

Dubai, Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia are places meant to rotate these loot and part of it goes to Swiss Bank. See how Quattrochi has escaped from India with out answering anything. How Madhu Koda a criminal made chief minister by congress looted Jarkhand dares the investigating agencies?

 

Corruption started from the PMO and 10 Janpath right from late Indira Gandhi days, even in in 1950 congress and V K Krishnamenon was accused of corruption in defence deals. Congress as a party is shameful for India as it is the kingpin of corruption, 10 Janpath and Sonia is presiding on a corrupt kingdom where money, position and favours are distributed to maintain their family rule. These chamchas and Hijdas bow their just for power or money or both (just like they bowed for the British and Mughals).

 

Just take the accounts of all the tribal, sc/st welfare, integrated rural development money spent by the government of India over 60 years and we can see that all these poor people would have been richer by this time. But the money has not gone to them, it has gone to the accounts of congresswala's.

 

Compared to them look at the BJP ruled state and 6 years of BJP rule at the center. You can see the difference and how clean the people who have still values left in them.

 

Unforunately the stupid coward voters in India has not learned any lesson. The media too is part of the corruption and promote the corrupt and when Judiciary join these corrupt prolonging cases for 25 to 100 years we should understand the strength of corruption.
