Three stations on the much-hyped 20 km long Airport Express Line-- New Delhi, Shivaji Stadium and Airport -- will not only have automatic Baggage Handling System which allows passengers to check-in baggages but will resemble a mini airport.
Not only this, at the Shivaji Stadium station, passengers can shop various items, eat their favourite food, purchase tickets for their journey and finally check-in their baggages in before boarding the 'express' Metro.
DMRC has also approached the customs department seeking its approval for setting up a 'duty free shop' at the stations. But officials said no final decision has been taken.
