The book -- to be released here Friday -- is titled "I Accuse..." in English and "Kab Kategi Chaurasi" (When will 1984 pass) in Hindi. It is being published by Penguin.
"With this book I have unearthed the conspiracy behind the 1984 anti-Sikh riots, as to how it was a state-sponsored massacre. It has the untold stories of how the victims and their families have spent the last 25 years," Singh told IANS.
The book starts with 11-year-old Singh witnessing the brutal killing of fellow Sikhs firsthand, though his immediate family remained unhurt.
Jarnail Singh was playing cricket outside his house at Lajpat Nagar in south Delhi when the looting and killing started after former prime minister Indira Gandhi was assassinated by her Sikh bodyguards.
Now a father of two, Singh has been with various newspapers for the last 15 years, beginning with a six-month internship with Sandhya Times in 1995. Then he found himself freelancing for some time before he joined a multilingual daily called Aksharbharati which has since ceased publication. He was with the Hindi daily Dainik Jagaran since 1999 and was a special correspondent, mainly covering the defence ministry.
"The book ends with why I was prompted to throw a shoe (at Chidambaram)," said Singh.
Dissatisfied with Chidambaram's response over the Central Bureau of Investigation's clean chit to Congress leaders Jagdish Tytler and Sajjan Kumar, Singh hurled a shoe at the home minister during a press conference here on April 7, 2009.
Immediately after the incident, Singh told IANS: "I just wanted to ask (Chidambaram) how he can be happy when one whole community is in deep anguish...I do not think it (what I did) is the right way but the issue (1984 Sikh riots) is right."
The incident sparked widespread protests by the Sikh community against Congress, costing Tytler and Kumar their election tickets. While Chidambaram refused to file a case against Singh, Dainik Jagran, the paper where he was employed, asked him to resign.

Let me give you some facts ---
Little abt my background ---I come from a Family of Indian ARMY OFFICERS
All my brothers –Cousins and school friends are Army Officers right now.
So was I for 5 yrs before being disabled.
And MY DAD retd form Army as COL and --He fought 1962 China war,1965 wars
-and 1971 IndoP-ak war. Then he was in MI—military Intelligence- as well as RAW.
So is another of my closely related Uncle who is in Raw—right now !
Now we are settled in USA
Earlier- when my dad was in--- UN-[1 yr Temp Posting]- we also stayed in East Africa .
And personally- i have travelled to been to EUROPE. And many SE Asian countries
Apart frOm that growing up in Army family we stayed in different Parts of INDIA ie.kashmir-Assam Rajasthan Goa pune,Bangalore, Chennai
As Army people get transferred every 2 yrs.
But most of my education was done in DELHI.

The Sikhs deserved punishment for the heinous crime they committed against the country. The Golden Temple was abused by the Sikhs themselves. The Late Prime Minister had not other choice but to send in the army to flush out the terroists. But the Sikhs killed a helpless lady who trusted her bodygaurds despite being warned by RAW Intelligence that they Guards were brainwashed when they went to Punjab. Every Sikh has blood on their hands for celebrating this cowardly gruesome act.
The Sikhs should hang their head in shame for this act. Sikhs were know for their valour and bravery but this one crime has poured water on their values. They should express regret for what they did.
India is not Punjab and Punjab is not India. We have pampered Punjab a little too much. The Sikhs create problems whereever they go. Allowing the Kirpan and wearing a Sikh Turban and not obeying the laws of the country where they live is nothing but scant respect for the laws of the country where they live. Some countries have banned the Kirpan and the Turban and righlt so. I will not sit next to a Sikh for who knows what they will do in a plane.
Should I say "this is" the moral of "our" leaders OR should I say about ethics of such leaders?
I dont see any difference in these leaders and all the brutal invaders who conquered India during past 2000 years and showed no mercy on locals - ACCEPT these leaders are from within us and OUR leaders.
