AP CM’s helicopter runs into trouble

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister K Rosaiah’s helicopter got into a mess on Monday when it got stuck in slush at Nandyal in Kurnool district of Andhra Pradesh.

Rosaiah had made a successful landing at a helipad in Nandyal where he had gone to inspect relief work in connection with the recent floods. However, when he came back to the copter, the pilot could not take off as the landing pads of the chopper got stuck in the mud.

Rosaiah was safe and had to proceed by road to another place in Kurnool district to carry on the inspection works.

The incident comes just a month after the then chief minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy died when his BEL-430 helicopter crashed in rough weather atop a hill in the thickly forested area of Nallamala close to Kurnool.
