Haryana: Traders protest against loot
Rewari, Nov 30 (PTI) The traders of Katla Bazaar area kept the shutters of their shops and commercial establishments down for the second day in protest against the alleged loot of a shop owner by three armed youths on November 28.
Three robbers had barged inside the grocery shop of one Raman Kumar and looted Rs two lakh from a trader at gunpoint.
The protesters claimed to continue with their protest till all three robbers were arrested and the loot amount recovered.
Vijay Somany, chairman of Rashtriya Nav Chetna, a voluntary organisation, slammed the police for its alleged failure to check criminal activities.
Meanwhile, police arrested one Rahul, a resident of Khalilpur village, for his alleged involvement in the loot.
He was today produced in a local court which remanded him in police custody for two days.
The two others involved in the crime would be soon arrested, SSP Bharti Arora told reporters.
