Former General Manager of MMTC arrested
Chennai, Nov 19 (PTI) CBI today arrested V Gurumurthy, former general manager of public sector undertaking Minerals and Metals Trading Corporation of India Ltd (MMTC), for his alleged involvement in financial irregularities.
He was produced before a court which sent him to judicial custody, CBI sources said.
CBI had earlier filed an FIR saying that during 2007-09, Gurumurthy along with others conspired with a private company to cheat MMTC in bullion (gold and silver) trading.
