Double murder in Patiala
Chandigarh, Nov 16 (PTI) An old couple was found stabbed to death at their government accommodation in Rajpura Colony in Patiala town of Punjab, police said today.
The deceased have been identified as 72-year-old Rajeshwar Chander, a retired government employee, and 68-year-old Harjeet Kaur, police said, adding that they were stabbed to death with some sharp-edged weapon.
The incident came to light when their servant came to work and found the two lying in a pool of blood, police said.
Robbery could be one of the reasons behind the murder,IG, Patiala range, Paramjeet Singh Gill said after inspecting the spot.
The domestic help has been rounded up for interrogation.
