Actor Sanjay Dutt's parole extended by 14 days
Mumbai: Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt's parole has been extended by 14 days.
Dutt, currently out of jail on parole for a fortnight, had sought an extension of parole on medical grounds. The 53-year-old was granted parole from Yerawada Central Jail on October 1 to get medical treatment for unspecified illnesses.
With his parole period ending on Monday, he had sought another fortnight's extension.
Reacting on the rumours that Congress may name Unique Identification Authority of India Chairman, Nandan Nilekani as its candidate for Prime Minister, JD(U) Leader Shivanand Tiwari said the move could be suicidal for the party.
