Pak seeks US help to ease tensions with India

Pakistan has said it could focus on American demands to do more in the war on terror only if the US used its influence with India to lessen tensions and to press for resumption of the stalled composite dialogue process.

This was conveyed by Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani] to visiting US National Security Advisor James Jones during a meeting in Islamabad on Friday as the two held wide-ranging talks on the regional security situation and bilateral cooperation. Gilani said Pakistan is fully committed to take its operations aimed at clearing its territory of terrorists and extremists to its logical conclusion but "its forces were over-stretched because of continuous tension on the eastern border" with India.

"It was imperative that the US should be sensitive about Pakistan's core interests, i.e. Kashmir, the Indus water issue, Indian military capability and the requirements of balance of power in South Asia," Gilani was quoted as saying in a statement issued by his office. "The US, hence, has to use its influence with India for resumption of the composite dialogue and lessening of tension with Pakistan to enable Pakistan to concentrate its attention and energies in the fight against terrorism," he said.

Jones reportedly assured Gilani that US administration "fully recognised Pakistan's concerns about the long-term peace and security of South Asia and would keep urging the Indian leadership to return to composite dialogue".

Initiation of talks is never going to inprove the tensions between India and Pakistan. They will always deny what they have done and we will continue to stress as we have the proofs. Theirs is a country where everybody is power crazy and can kill anyone for power and money. There is no proper institution, its a country of the barbarians, which still has not seen the sun of civilisation...let aside India, how many cases were in news recently regarding blasts in Pakistan? it is a country which only believes in hostility and killing... India and Pakistan relations can never improve !

Pakistan will never give up its animosity against India... this is a diplomatic statement, which has no assurance. The only way to repress Pakistan is by force. They are a nation, not civilised enough to resolve any issue with discussions. These conditions are nothing but excuses.

It is very simple. India`s stand is very simple and straight forward. Stop terror from Pakistan soil and then we will think about resumption of talks. Close all terror training camps and dismantle ISI, AND YOU WILL HAVE A GOOD & FRIENDLY INDIA ON YOUR SIDE ALWAYS AT ALL TIMES.

Anti - India policy has not got you anywhere nor will it lead you any where.

If. you continue like this, any longer, your nation will dismember into five states on its own and there will not be a country known by the name of Pakistan

WHY NOT PAKISTAN WANT TO BREAK THE WALL OF BERLIN?WE WOULD BE MORE THAN PLEASED IF WOULD BREAK THE WALL.THE INDIAN ARE MORE THAN HAPPY IF IT WOULD SHED ITS ANIMOSITY AGAINST INDIANS AND ALSO ARREST AND SHOT ALL THE ANTI INDIAN FORCES,PEOPLE LIVING IN PAK UNDER THEIR PATRONAGE .IF IT IS NOT POSSIBLE THAN IT SHOULD TAKE THE HLP OF INDIAN MILITARY TO SHOT DOWN SUCH PEOPLE WHO ARE A BURDEN ON PAKISTAN.IF PAKISTAN IS UNAWARE IT IS BURDENED BY SUCH PEOPLE WHO ARE LIVING IN PAK BUT ACTING THE INTERESTS OF PAK .THE COUNTRY IS IN HELL NOW AND IT WOULD EB WISER FOR ITS ARMY CHIEF TO INTERCAT WITH OUR PM TO SORT OUT THE PROBLEMS AND WORK JOINTLY TO KILL ALL THE ANTI PAKISTAN AND ANTI IDNIAN FORCES.THERE IS NO OPTIONS OF IT.

It is most unfortunate that Pakistan does NOT want to realise that in the past 62 years, none of the wars was initiated by India. Everytime it is Pakistan which created problems for us in JK, erstwhile east Pakistan and the western front. I was well suited to the military to keep doing this in order to cling to power. Now that a people elected civilian government is

in power, the people there should be wise enough to realise this and force their government to take steps to normalise its relationship with India. They should also NOT

expect that India should be taking such steps always despite their territory is used to train terrorists to attack us with their knowledge! Our government would do well to highlight to the world this fact!

This was expected. Definately Pakistan has upper hand in putting all these conditions in the name of Terror and they are playing it very cunningly
