Shankar, Ehsaan, Loy open Radio Mirchi studio in Dubai
Dubai, Mar 10 (PTI) Indian FM station Radio Mirchi has announced the opening of a new studio in Dubai located at a tower with a clear view of what Dubai is famous for - Palm Dubai, Burj Al Arab and Burj Khalifa.
The studio was inaugurated by Bollywood music composer trio Shankar, Ehsaan & Loy. They were in Dubai for a concert following which they joined the Radio Mirchi team in cutting the ribbon.
This expansion positions the station as the only channel in the South Asian realm to possess multiple studios in both the cities of Abu Dhabi and Dubai, a statement released here said.
Abdul Rahman Awadh Al Harthi, Executive Director of the Abu Dhabi Radio Network said, "Abu Dhabi Radio Network continuously strives to serve the needs of all communities in the UAE as a Media Group. Keeping this in mind, Radio Mirchi was launched in February 2012 as the first channel in the South Asian Space to offer three exclusive frequencies thus providing uninterrupted clarity across UAE.
"Now exactly after a year, it also becomes the only Channel in the South Asian Space to have multiple Studios in the cities of Abu Dhabi and Dubai."
According to Al Harthi, this move strengthens the brand''s positioning as the UAE''s leading Radio Station that engages with audiences in multiple cities.
"Apart from this, it also offers listeners across UAE an opportunity to meet with their favorite RJ''s or be a part of the everyday excitement as and when it happens. It could not have gotten any bigger or better for a Radio Station," Sandeep Sud, Head of the Radio Mirchi Station in the UAE, said.
Radio Mirchi has been a leading private FM radio in India since its launch in 2001, and with a presence across 14 states and 32 stations, it is the largest FM channel in the country.
