Lahore, Nov 10 (PTI) Pakistani law enforcement agencies today arrested three suspected terrorists who were allegedly planning to target Shia processions during the Islamic month of Muharram, and seized a map of former premier Yousuf Raza Gilani''s home from their possession.
The map showed Gilani''s private residence in the Defence neighbourhood of Lahore.
Security personnel also seized jihadi literature from the three men, officials said.
Security agencies also detained the owner of the house rented by the three men and two of his female relatives.
Some reports said the families of the three arrested men too were taken into custody.
Policemen working in collaboration with personnel of an intelligence agency raided a house on the outskirts of the Defence Housing Authority and arrested the three men, Lahore Police spokesman Niyab Haider said.
He said weapons and grenades were recovered from the men.
Their initial interrogation revealed that they were planning to target Shia processions during Muharram, which begins later this month, he said.
"Jihadi literature and a map of former premier Yousuf Raza Gilani''s residence in Defence have also been recovered from them," Haider said.
The arrested men were taken to an undisclosed place for questioning while the detained women were released.
