Begged Usher to withdraw custody battle: ex-wife
London, June 1 (PTI) Tameka Foster, ex-wife of pop singer Usher, insists that she did not initiate the current court battle over child visitation rights that the pair are involved in.
Foster said she had pleaded with the R&B star to withdraw the petition for the custody of their two children, reported Contactmusic.
"I did not start this. I did not file this. Usher did. I begged him to withdraw the petition, but he did not listen.
The media jumped on my answer to his petition for custody as if I initiated it, and I did not.
"Why would I try to keep his children away from him? We have joint custody and I want to continue to have their father around to help out. Raising children is a lot of work," Foster said.
She also hit back at rumours that the pair are enemies, explaining that they do not hate each other.
Expressing serious concern over the ongoing protests in Andhra Pradesh, following the nod for the creation of a separate Telangana State, the Communist Party of India (CPI) leader D Raja said that the Centre must address the genuine concerns of the people and assure them that their interests will be duly protected.
