10 die in Karachi bombing
Islamabad: At least 10 people were killed and 50 injured Saturday in a massive explosion close to a polling station in Karachi, a media report said. The deafening blast took place in Karachi’s Quaidabad area, DawnNews reported. The explosion occurred near the polling station of Quaidabad. The huge explosion damaged the windowpanes of several buildings and destroyed eight shops.
Expressing serious concern over the ongoing protests in Andhra Pradesh, following the nod for the creation of a separate Telangana State, the Communist Party of India (CPI) leader D Raja said that the Centre must address the genuine concerns of the people and assure them that their interests will be duly protected.
