BJP says Congress fears Lokpal
BJP leader Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi asked the government to explain its stand on the anti-graft bill.
"The government along with its battalion of ministers should not fight the civil society members, who are crusading against corruption. If they formulate the Lokpal Bill, the civil society will itself be quiet and not protest," said Naqvi "Why is the Congress scared of Lokpal?" he asked.
Minister of State in the Prime Minister''s Office (PMO) V. Narayanasamy earlier today expressed his concern over a comment made by Team Anna member and former Indian Police Service (IPS) officer Kiran Bedi, where she dubbed Prime Minister Manmohan Singh a modern-day Dhritarashtra.
He advised Kiran Bedi to restrain herself from making personal comments.
