Ambika Soni
Minister of Information and Broadcasting till last October, Ambika Soni is a Congress veteran who began her political career in 1969. A friend of Indira Gandhi, she was elected Youth Congress president and worked closely with Sanjay Gandhi. In ’98 she became president of the All India Mahila Congress and was later General Secretary of the AICC. Before her stint as I&B Minister, she was Minister of Culture. This dedicated politician is currently a Rajya Sabha member.
