Ukranian serial killer Chikatilo, nicknamed the "Butcher of Rostov", was convicted of the murder of 53 women and children between the period of 1978 and 1990.

How

Chikatilo established a pattern of approaching young vagrants, often luring them with the promise of money before killing them. It was seen that this serial killer was impotent and would derive pleasure in a brutal way by stabbing and slashing his victims.

After being convicted, he was executed by a firing squad on February 14, 1990.
