Elderly woman trapped in deck chair rescued by firefighters
We've always suspected certain inanimate objects were conspiring against us. And now we have proof. An elderly woman in Cornwall, England, had to be rescued by firefighters after the fabric in her deck chair gave way, trapping her in its metal frame. She was stuck there for most of Monday, and was only freed after 9 p.m., when her neighbour arrived to water the plants and called emergency services. "We don't actually know how long she was there for but it was quite a long time," said fire station manager Peter Ripley. The woman was dehydrated and sunburned but otherwise had only minor injuries, and was taken to the hospital for a check-up.
