Giant Pandas could rescue humanity from the next big superbug

Forget Kung Fu Panda, these are Doctor Pandas. OK, not quite. However, researchers at the Life Sciences College of Nanjing Agricultural University in China have found that the cute creatures produce an antibiotic in their blood that can kill bacteria and fungi. The researchers figure the scientists could use this antibiotic to create new treatments for superbugs. In fact, scientists have already extracted the bacteria and are working with it in labs.
