The eastern German city of Leipzig commemorated the 200th anniversary of the largest battle of the Napoleonic Wars on Sunday by re-enacting the Battle of Nations, with 6,200 military-historic association enthusiasts from 26 Europe countries. Some 185,000 French troops and 320,000 allied troops from Austria, Prussia, Russia and Sweden, entered into the decisive battle just outside Leipzig on October 16, 1813. Here a member of a local historical society dressed as a soldier of the 8th Artillery Regiment, 5th Division Dufour, serving under Napoleon, has a break during their four-day march to Leipzig on October 14, in Schellenberg, Germany.
