Indian Defence Secretary Shashikant Sharma recently led an Indian delegation to hold talks with a Pakistani team headed by Defence Secretary Nargis Sethi at the garrison city of Rawalpindi near Islamabad. The talks were widely expected to be dominated by the issue of demilitarization of the Siachen glacier - the world's highest military battlefield, where harsh weather has killed more soldiers than actual fighting. However, despite a series of talks on the issue, the neighbours have failed to reach any agreement so far.
