The Secret Service detail surrounding President Obama
The Secret Service was created by President Abraham Lincoln on April 14, 1865. The organization was the first US domestic intelligence and counterintelligence agency. The Secret Service Presidential Protective Division safeguards the President of the United States and his immediate family. They work with other federal, state and local law enforcement agencies and the military to safeguard the President.
