Made his name as: A pop singer who belted out hits by the dozen, such as 'Aadat', 'Woh Lamhe', 'Tera Honey Laga Hoon', 'Tere Bin', 'Jalpari', 'Doorie', and so on and so forth.

Hails from: Wazirabad, but has made Lahore his home for many years.

Turning Point in India: Came in 2004, when his solo album, which he cut after moving out of the music group Jal. While there was a controversy about the song Aadat, which Jal claimed as their own and which Aslam included in his solo album, he struck a chord with Indian music lovers by then.

Currently: He is working on his new album. He has made a name for himself all over South Asia and sung in various Bollywood movies.
