Getting to school at all costs: In Pictures

Fifty-seven million children in the world fail to learn simply because they are not in school, says the 2014 Education For All (EFA) Global Monitoring Report released by UNESCO. While poor teaching quality is holding back learning, many students stay away from schools due to hostile terrain and unfriendly climate. Students from Guizhou province in China for instance go to a school located halfway up a mountain.
