NASA's Ares I-X moon rocket makes first test flight

NASA's new Ares 1-X test vehicle on October 28, 2009 heads into the sky from Kennedy Space Center's launch pad 39-B in Florida. After many delays due to the weather NASA was finally able to get the Ares off the launch pad. NASA's Ares I-X test rocket lifted off at 11:30 a.m. EDT Wednesday from NASA's Kennedy Space Center in Florida for a two-minute powered flight.
