Maharashtra's ruling Congress-led alliance was ahead in the race to control the 288-member assembly Thursday as counting of votes polled in the October 13 elections progressed. The Congress was also ahead in Haryana and Arunachal Pradesh, the other two states that went into poll on October 13.
