A file picture of an auto plant in Manesar. About 1 lakh workers at one of the country's biggest automobile hubs are on strike to protest the death of a worker in Monday's clash with the police. The strike call, given by All India Trade Union Congress (AITUC), comes in the wake of the death of an agitating worker in a clash at the plant of component maker Rico Auto on Sunday in which many other workers were also injured. The Gurgaon-Manesar industrial belt houses major automakers as well as important component suppliers. About 200 policemen have been deployed at the site. REUTERS
