Madhya Pradesh Sports Minister Tukoji Rao Pawar on Tuesday clarified that the state was not responsible for the unworthy treatment meted out to legendary sprinter PT Usha as it was not even aware of her presence here. Usha, who is here for the 49th National Open Athletics Championship, broke down in tears as she lambasted Sports Authority of India (SAI) officials for the shabby treatment of athletes, after she was provided sub-standard accommodation. Pawar said it was SAI's responsibility to ensure proper accommodation for Usha. REUTERS
