Sensex gains 400 points, Nifty stable at 7,700 as markets laud Modi's budget
Post budget presentation, the markets have shown some cheer and recovered from the fluctuations. Sensex has recovered by 400 points at 25,681 points after an anxious free fall which led to other sectors witnessing fall. Meanwhile, nifty has also recovered and is stable above 7,700 points. The Sensex had fell by over 200 points as the budget speech began but recovered the losses as Arun Jaitley reached the end of his speech that lasted for two hours.
General Budget 2014-15: Jaitley says did not want to burden common man
Finance Minister Arun Jaitley after presenting the General Budget for 2014-15 hoped that the budget will lead to economic expansion of the country. He added that they did not want to burden the common man and aimed to resolve a lot of issues.
