Girl on way to school raped by stalker
In a third incident of its kind in less than a month, a Class 12 student of a leading west Delhi public school was raped, allegedly by a stalker in a moving car.
According to the girl's father who is a leading businessman, she was kidnapped while she was going to school in a rickshaw along with her brother.
The accused has been identified as 25 year old Sunny who used to follow the girl and tease her.
According to the police, as the girl and her brother were on their way to school, Sunny and three of his friends -- Sashi, Jeevraj and Kapil -- came in a car, overtook the rickshaw and blocked its way. Two of them dragged the girl and dumped her in the waiting car even as the brother raised an alarm.
The accused then drove the car to a secluded spot where Sunny raped the girl as the three others stood guard. The girl was then dumped near the roadside and the accused fled from the scene. The girl managed to reach home and informed her parents who lodged a case at the Janakpuri police station.
Medical examination confirmed rape. The police registered a case of rape, kidnapping and illegal confinement and arrested Sunny and his friends.
According to the police, Sunny had been harassing the girl for a long time. Sunny is reportedly has strong political connections.
This is the third such incident of a girl being raped in a moving car in the city.

the crime committed by Sunny and his friends is very cruel and should be strictly punished.
I read the comments posted by every one and I have seen one thing common that every one wants the culprits to punish severely and that too publicly so that other could not dare to commit such crime.
Such practice is well being implemented in KSA and beleive me I have never seen any road romoa even teasing a girl due to strictness in law based on Islamic Shariah.
Guys wake up and try with govt. to pass the law to punish the rapist very harshly.
Severe the punishment, more chances for culprits to escape, when the case drags on, there will be more pressure on victims to compromise. It is best to have castration as punishments for sex offenders.
Its embrassing to say, Indian women still to get freedom from the society..... I strongly beleive the Law follows by government aganist the criminal activities on the women is of entirely no use and in no way it restricts the crime rate against them.....
The people who involved in such cases should be strongly punished (with Capital Punishment) so others should not even dare to think about such crimes in the future......
