PVR opens six-screen multiplex in Mangalore

Mangalore: PVR Cinemas has launched a six-screen multiplex at Forum Mall in Mangalore.

Addressing presspersons here on Thursday on the sidelines of the launch, Rajinder Singh, Regional Manager (Operations), South, said that this launch takes PVR’s screen count to 427 in 98 cinemas in 42 cities in the country.

With the Mangalore launch, PVR’s screen count in the southern market reaches 83 in 13 properties in the cities of Bangalore, Hyderabad, Chennai, Kochi, and Vijayawada.

The multiplex in Mangalore is spread across 38,000 sq ft with 1,169 seats.

Asked about the expansion plans in Karnataka, he said that the PVR multiplexes are present in five locations in Bangalore. In addition to this, three more multiplexes will be opened in Bangalore.

PVR will set up a four-screen multiplex in Mysore. Plans are also there to set up a multiplex in Udupi, Singh said.
