Cox & Kings aims to harness domestic travel
Kolkata, Dec 6 (PTI) Leisure travel major Cox & Kings Ltd is expecting a 30 per cent growth domestic bookings during the last six months of the current fiscal, a top company official said today.
"We expect about 30 per cent increase in domestic tourists'' traffic between October 2012 and March 2013," company Vice-President Bharat Deko Yusuf Poonawala said here.
This growth will include a substantial rise in bookings during the winter, he added.
He said the company would explore more opportunities to tie up with state governments like Gujarat and West Bengal for promoting travel.
Cox & King announced its special promotional tour packages for ''Rann Utsav'' (December 15 to January 31) in Gujarat.
The company has recently tied up with Gujarat government to promote tourist destinations and festivals in the state.
