Timberlake apologises for 'silly' wedding video
London, Oct 27 (IANS) Pop star Justin Timberlake has issued a public apology for a "silly" video made by him showing homeless people and transvestites wishing him and his wife Jessica Beil all the best on their wedding.
Timberlake apologised for the "silly, unsavoury video", that shows three different people from Los Angeles giving the newlyweds their best wishes, reports mirror.co.uk.
The 19-second video titled Greetings from your Hollywood friends who just couldn't make it, was created by a friend of Timberlake, real estate agent Justin Huchel. It has since caused a massive backlash against the singer after it was leaked online, reports contactmusic.com.
One of the people interviewed, a homeless man, says: "Justin, Jessica... I haven't seen you in a long time. My gift is in the mail."
Afterwards, a transvestite is asked for a word of advice and the man in drag says: "Good luck - and watch your man."
The final person is a shirtless, bearded man who says: "Jessica, it's me, Robert."
Timberlake posted an open letter on his website Friday apologising to anyone who was offended by the video. He admitted that it was made by well meaning friends. He goes on to write that the video was not shown during his lavish wedding in Southern Italy last week.
